from wax model to silver ring
Based on the topic, I will introduce you to the methods of making a silverring by sand casting. The participants ideally made sketches to the topic. Then they model various models in wax on the subject. A selection of models will be produced into a silver model. Once this has been done, the wax model is used as the master model for the ring. After that, you will make a sandform of it and I cast liquid silver into the form. The silver blank is then filed, ground and polished.
The individual processing steps are explained.
Ideally, the student has thought about the subject and made drawings/sketches before starting the course. I will also be happy to answer any questions you may have before the Laborwoche.
