Material, Surface, Structure

Workshop Description

Starting with analog material, we embark on a material-driven journey of discovery. The focus is on an experimental approach to creating exciting surfaces. Experimentation can result in both analog material and surface studies as well as digital translations.

Educational Goal

The workshop provides insights into the design method known as “material-driven design,” creates an interdisciplinary space for material experiments, and promotes the interplay between analog practice and digital translation. This gives rise to new perspectives on the relationship between material, surface, and structure in the design process.
