tuqtuli
Workshop Description
Tuqtuli is a communication principle where signs are lined up like words. It is useful wherever people lack a shared language, an interpreter and translation apps – when travelling, with refugees, in connection with humanitarian aid. Tuqtuli can be used as a language teaching tool and as a method to bring about understanding where a shared language turns out to be unsatisfactory.
Tuqtuli aims to involve as many as different people as possible as co-creators and testers of a new visual way of global communication. The project started last year and since then has been at conferences, festivals and universities in Belgium, Germany, Japan and the USA.
